History
Publish Interactive was founded by Daniel Lord in 2003. Working as a technology industry analyst, he felt there had to be a better way of presenting research than in flat PDF format - fine for users only wanting to print and read reports, but cumbersome and inflexible for anyone needing to work with information in their own documents. Suddenly Daniel had a 'eureka moment' and a revolutionary way to access and use research was born.
Daniel built a prototype of our interactive platform himself. His new system stored sample reports containing a mixture of data models, charts and commentary in a highly flexible format rather than as a flat file. For the first time a user could access these rich data sources in the way they needed - finding information much faster and importing it directly into their own projects.
Daniel presented his platform to the sales team at what was then Reuters Business Insight - and what a response! They immediately recognized the competitive advantage and end-user benefits the system offered and licensed the platform straightaway. Its instant popularity with their customers meant that six months later the publisher's sales revenue had jumped by 32.4% - an impressive statistic but even that has been surpassed by some of our clients' revenue increases since.
The rest, as they say, is history. Daniel invested in a skilled team of experts to add ever-greater functionality to this cutting-edge system. As Publish Interactive's software has developed, so has its client base. Today we support a range of global publishing houses including: Kline & Company, Espicom, Canadean and Technomic.
