    • Daniel Lord, a former technology industry analyst, founded Publish Interactive back in 2003.

  • How is Publish Interactive structured?
    • The Leeds (UK) office is home to senior management and our core team of development, technical support, and sales and marketing personnel. We also have outsourced teams in Lithuania and Romania. As a relatively small but fast-growing company, we pride ourselves on our ability to be agile and genuinely innovative.

  • How much does iReports cost?

  • How is iReports paid for?
    • iReports is paid for via a monthly subscription so there are no upfront fees and you can get a return on investment from day one.

  • How long does it take to be up and running on iReports?
    • This depends on the amount of content you have and how much custom work and integration you require, but you could launch your iReports site in as little as four weeks.

  • Does iReports require IT staff to administer?
    • No, iReports has a highly intuitive interface so anybody can administer it easily. You’ll also get plenty of support and training as part of your subscription.

  • Can we integrate iReports with our existing website?
    • Yes, one of the major benefits of iReports is that it can be fully integrated with existing sites and systems. Our designers will create you an iReports site which matches your existing corporate identity, and you can manage all your online products and services through this one easy-to-use system.

  • Can we use our own domain?
    • Yes. In fact all of our clients use their own domains. In order to retain ownership, we highly recommend that our clients purchase and maintain their own domains and simply point them to our servers.

  • Where would our iReports site be hosted?
    • We use Rackspace to host our systems. Depending on the package, the site will either be hosted on one of our cloud servers or a dedicated server (or server pair). Servers are usually based in the US however we are also able to base systems in the UK.

  • How do we convert our reports to interactive format?
    • Our desktop conversion software converts your documents to the iReports format and automatically tags the data. The conversion process takes your existing documents and turns them into the interactive format so there is no need to start from scratch.

    • You can convert documents directly from Microsoft Word, HTML or XML. You can also convert from other formats such as PowerPoint or PDF, although there is an extra step involved in this. Conversion time varies depending on the size and format of the original document. It can take as little as five minutes but longer documents might take an hour or so. Although the process varies according to the source document format, converting a report typically involves:

    •  Opening the document in our Convert program

    •  Updating Word styles to allow compatibility with our Convert program

    •  Checking the preview to ensure styles have been correctly recognized

    •  Uploading the output to your iReports site

  • Will we have to convert documents to interactive format ourselves?
    • No, you can if you wish but you don’t have to. You will receive full training and support on how to convert your own reports when you subscribe, but we can make arrangements with our specialist conversion team in Lithuania if you’d prefer us to handle conversion.
